The delegate fee is 115€, however if you are fast you can take advantage of the early bird for 99€. The early bird is limited to the first 30 registrations. The registration fee includes:

  • Over 20 hours of session time ensuring high quality debates
  • Accommodation from Thursday till Monday
  • Lunches and Snacks during the day
  • Welcome bag with conference essentials

If you don’t need an accommodation, you can pick the standard registration for 54€.

Delegates are accommodated either in a hostel in town (for more information visit Jugendherberge) or at private hosts’ places – mostly students of the university. Thankfully, all parties were very friendly during price negotiations, which is why we can keep our fees relatively low for Swiss standards, despite accommodation already being included.

The early bird delegates and large delegations will generally have priority to be allocated to the hostel, and once those limited spaces are used, private hosts will open their doors. The address of your accommodation as well as our emergency phone number will be communicated to you shortly before the conference. If you happen to have trouble finding yours, you can ask any member of the organizing team located at the main station for assistance or call the emergency phone number.

The social pack is offered separately to the regular delegate’s fee and comes at 45€. It can simply be added to the cart during the registration process. The package includes 3 nights of unforgettable social events such as a kick-off dinner, club-hopping throughout the center of St. Gallen and much more.

You can pay using your credit card or paypal. We only accept bank transfers in special cases. If you can only pay by bank transfer please send an email to sg@sgmun.rocks.

Yes it is. All connections between you and us are encrypted and there is no possibility of a man-in-the middle attack.

Furthermore we don’t handle the payments but use the payment gateways stripe and paypal. Therefore, we don’t save any of your payment information on our servers.

Generally, there is no previous experience required to participate in the conference. As the whole conference including the debates will be held in English, we only expect sufficient knowledge of said language.

Please note that for the advanced committees we reserve the right to decline an application lacking previous experience. In any case, we encourage you to attend debates before applying to the SGMUN conference, particularly in your local MUN society.

The SGMUN conference is targeted specifically at university students. Therefore, and for legal reasons, the minimum age requirement is 18 years.

Keep it business formal.

St. Gallen is a small city in eastern Switzerland. It is known particularly as the home of the University of St. Gallen, which is one of the top business schools in Europe as well as the main location of the conference.

In most cases, the easiest way to reach St. Gallen is to first book a flight to the airport Zürich Kloten. From there, we advise you to take one of the direct trains from the airport in Zurich to the main station in St. Gallen. These trains run relatively frequently every 30 minutes, however, we still advise you to inform yourself. You can buy a ticket online or at the airport train station.

At the main station in St. Gallen, you will see members of the organizing team ready to welcome you.

Before booking your flight, please make sure to check whether you need a visa to travel to Switzerland. You can do so here:

If you are from one of the countries in need of a visa, we will provide you with an invitation letter only after you register. Please send us an email to delegates@sgmun.rocks with your details.

This policy is in place to prevent fraudulent registration with the goal to only gain a visa to Switzerland.

We kindly ask you to independently take care of the issue after receiving your letter, as the SGMUN conference is not responsible for any complications regarding travel restrictions.

One of the main advantages of the city is that most places are easily reachable by foot.

Depending on the location of your accommodation and your personal preferences, you might want to buy a ticket for public transport. Students who live far from University tend to particularly use the bus. If you want to purchase a ticket, we recommend getting it directly at the main station or at one of the machines of the Swiss Federal Railway (SBB). They are located at any bus or train station. A one-day ticket costs 6.40 CHF, one-way ticket 2.30 CHF and a group ticket (10 or more people) comes at 5.20 CHF. For more information we kindly refer you to the ticket page of OSTWIND, the official public transport provider for eastern Switzerland:
